My Experiments with Interactive Wall Painting- Art Mart 2012

Art Mart is an annual art event in Gurgaon which is a meeting ground for artists, gallerists, collectors, art connoisseurs, the general public and the media. Providing the independent artists an opportunity to exhibit, the
multi dimensional Art Mart played a platform for a wide gamut of associated activities. Thus Art Mart becomes an ideal venue for me to push my interests in making art interact with the public.

The public interactive wall painting project became a perfect vehicle towards this goal. Since the beginning of my artistic career i have been interested in street art and graffiti. Graffiti for me is not rebellion and mark making, instead it is a bridge between the public and painterly aesthetics.

Occupying a wooden partition wall right at the entrance, the process of painting began right after the inauguration. As people joined in i took a happy backseat...only coming up to trace forms i could see..or
chase some imaginations. As I was hoping, children came in a completely took over some pats of the wall. Personally i like children's art a lot and have spend  a lot of time working with them .

As the Art Mall unfolded, the wall became a complete painting ...all the interactive forces hamonising together, it was no longer my work...it was never intended to be...i just took the joy of initiating energies.
