Let us learn from Banksy

The attack on Mumbai is the talk all over the world. The armed jehadis or whatever name these terrorists had for themselves, are controlled as of now. People are talking about peace marches to be organised all over the nation. Politicians all set to fight terror, win votes and so many undertones of selfish greed, fear and the increasing uncertainty of life. Terror needs to go away from everyday lives. Politicians and Religion have failed to do so. All that is provided to us is a belief that the cops on the streets will take care, so will the Almighty.
The result of all this is scared humanity, seeking solace in the visits to religious shrines and peace marches. After the soothing comfort that stays for sometime, everyday life takes over. A life that is governed by work, commuting to various places, visiting markets, restaurants and diverting the thought that there could be an attack!

I am neither a politician nor an NGO that would want to arrange for an occasional peace march. I am an artist and that's what I can do best. Art Therapy to bring joy, at least the joy of creation is what I choose to do for the youth of today. Give them a medium of self expression that is not governed by any sort of a judgement system- its just there.

Indian Street Art is another project that I have taken. I called it Aawaz, now it has one of the very basic expressions defined- Aawaz of love and peace.

Let us all join hands together, all artists of the visual and performing arts and change what politicians of India, religions and the forces cannot.
