Do you have a Ranjha?

Raanjha raanjha kardi main
aape raanjha hoi
raanjha main vich main raanjhe vich
hunn heer na aankho koi.
The child who was struggling with drawings, frustration of the inability to have command on the lines. Dreaming, under the blanket of painting with a feverish speed. Creating forms in the voids that stare. Voids of blank spaces- the empty canvas. The kid thinking, seeing himself paint and mumbling, "I wish...."

This child haunts me from the alleys of my life, popping out suddenly as if playing a game. Manifesting himself as a grown up, if not a grown up then definitely someone wise. The kid telling me to take a chill pill and relax. Bringing with him the memories of the artist that was always in me, hidden somewhere.
The desire to be.

Now I am.

This is a milestone achieved. A tick mark in the list of things that have to be done. Mission Ranjha in the form of an artist completed.
The desire to be, with the exercising of your free will brings you to a place where the desire fades into reality. A reality that you always wanted, a desire that was hidden in you.

Raanjha Raanjha kardi main, aape raanjha hoi.......

These words hit me, replacing raanjha for desire it feels as if another layer in this mystery of life is revealing itself. The mystery of wanting and believing.

For the kid once upon a time, life as an artist was unimaginable majorly because of the ignorance that an artist is a way to live. A profession.
The kid has grown up, as an artist!

Keep dreaming Saran, you might land up manifesting your dreams.

Dear Reader, What are you waiting for?
